Our
Mission
We are a 501 (c)(3) and our mission is to support foster and adopted children by providing many resources that mirror them.
This organization will sell books, clothing, and games designed for children to easily comprehend and use. We also partner with local vendors to donate birthday cakes, stuffed animals and pajamas to youth who reside in local foster care agencies.
Meet the Founder
“As an adolescent, my voice was almost nonexistent, but through Lena's Adventures, I pray that children like me can find a hopeful image for a forever home.”
Regina Alston is an adopted former foster youth turned children's book author and the visionary founder of Lena's Adventures. Her journey from the foster care system to becoming a voice for the next generation has inspired her mission to advocate for every youth in foster care.
Based in Richmond, Virginia, Regina has authored four children's books that celebrate the unique spirit of every child. Through her work, she bridges the gap between foster care advocacy and the joy of storytelling, ensuring that every youth feels seen, loved, and celebrated.
Supporting Foster & Adopted Children Every Step of the Way
We believe that every youth in foster care deserves to be loved, seen, and given a chance to shine. Through our mission pillars, we provide the resources and community support needed for a brighter future.
Books & Games
Our collection of children's books and educational games provides a safe space for youth to explore their identities and celebrate their milestones.
Clothing
We partner with local vendors to donate high-quality pajamas, stuffed animals, and birthday supplies that help foster youth feel comfortable and celebrated.
Community Partners
We collaborate with Richmond agencies and local businesses to amplify our impact and create a network of support for every child in need.
Foster Awareness
Through educational resources and advocacy, we work to change the narrative and ensure that every child knows they are never alone.
Meet Lena
Lena is more than just a character; she is a symbol of hope and a voice for every foster and adopted child. With her big hair bows and an even bigger spirit, Lena represents the courage it takes to find a forever home. She reminds us that every youth deserves to be loved, seen, and given the chance to shine in their own story.
